Christmas at Hope Church

Christmas can be busy and overwhelming, and maybe the last thing you want is something else added to your calendar. But at Hope church we have found that amongst the busyness of Christmas, Church brings us rest and focus. Church brings us to the real substance of Christmas - Jesus and His life!

We would love for you to join us this Christmas as we find life and help in Jesus!

Christmas Events

Saturday 10th December - Family craft morning, 10-12 at the Hope Centre

Join us for a fun morning making christmas crafts. You can paint a decoration to take home and put on your tree, or make a snowman cookie! Theres lots to do and it’s all free.

Thursday 15th December - the word became flesh, 7pm at the Hope Centre

Join us for an interactive talk where we will learn what it means that Jesus was born, that God became flesh! Refreshments served from 7pm the talk will start at 7:30.

Sunday 18th December - Family Nativity, 4pm at Dean Field School

You child doesn’t need to know the Christmas story, or even have their own costume! Bring them along and watch as they get dressed up and join in the Nativity story. There will be Carols and a short talk from Pastor Doug.

Monday 19th December - Family Christmas Cinema, 10am at The Hope Centre

Don’t know what to do with the children over the Christmas Holidays? Why not kick off the school break with a Christmas film. Bring them along to the Hope Centre where there will be popcorn and a Christmas film. Feel free to come in a onesie or bring a blanket or a bean bag to sit on!

Join us throughout December for our special Advent series. During the service we will be singing carols and reading through the Christmas story from the bible, there will also be a talk about Jesus.

Sunday 4th December - Peace of the Angels

We all want Peace at Christmas, we all want everyone to be happy and get along - but how often does that really happen? Come and hear how Jesus brings real and lasting peace to our lives!

Sunday 11th December - joy of the shepherd

What is going to bring us joy? Getting the presents we want? Seeing the kids happy? These things never last, come and hear how Jesus can bring you deep joy this Christmas.

Sunday 18th December - Love of the Father

More than anything we want to be loved. But too often we feel unloved, or we think that people only love us for what we can give them. Come and learn about the love that came down from heaven that first Christmas. Jesus is the Fathers love given to us.

Sunday 25th December - Light of the Son

Join us for our special Christmas Day service where we will see that Jesus is the light who shines in the darkness of our world and makes sense of our lives.
