Kids at Hope

children are welcome

Jesus has a lot to say about how important children are to him, and to his church - so at Hope Church we love to have the children in church with us. We don’t send them out to creche or Sunday school.

Not only is it good for the children to be in the service, it’s good for adults too.

The presence of children in church are not a distraction, but a reminder of what real Christians should be like. It is also an encouragement that we have children in church learning to trust Jesus and enjoy his life.

children and the bible talk

At Hope Church we believe that the way God speaks to people is through his word, which we find in the bible.

When the bible is taught at Hope Church it is important to us that we teach it in such a way that everyone can understand it, and hear God speak to them - including the children.

During the bible talk we provide the children (and anyone else who wants) with paper and pens, so that they can draw what they are hearing God say to them.

What about little children?

While it is important that there are no major disruptions or distractions during the church service, because we don’t want anyone being distracted from Jesus, the gentle noises of small children are welcome in church.

If however you feel as though your child would benefit from some space, or they are beyond being controlled, we do have a space at the back of the room where you can take them. At the back of the room is a row of windows through which you can see the service and hear the service, where you can sit and your child can have the space they need.
